It is our belief that life is sacred and that each person is created in the image of the divine. The indwelling genius potential of each and every child is yet another proof to those who have a listening heart and a mind that is attuned to a higher reality than the outter senses portray.
Morality is not old-fashioned and there is not another, more practical, lifestyle than that of living a moral life, as morality is the obvious solution to the problem of unwanted pregnancy, including teen pregnancy and becoming a parent before one is ready. Morality would soon end the abortion epidemic with the many psychological problems attending and, in any number of cases, damage to the reproductive system. Morality would put an end to the sexually transmitted diseases and the deadly AIDS epidemic that infects millions. Morality would prevent the hardships and challenges that go with child and spousal abandonment and the rise of single parent families that places a greater and greater strain upon society.
A moral choice is a responsible choice and a choice that stems from integrity, conscience and good character. The abandonment of morality has brought a tidal wave of ills upon humanity.
Sacrificing the child's life in abortion is an act of extreme selfishness. On the other hand, a woman has the opportunity to make a selfless decision in choosing to keep the baby, when things are challenging, or in offering the baby up for adoption. There are millions of waiting parents that desire nothing more in life than to love the child that is not wanted or unable to be cared for by a birth parent.
Killing the unborn child is not an option without dire and far-reaching consequences. We are aware from archeology of the destruction of civilizations by war and by cataclysm. We are shown in the bible that civilizations underwent the Judgment and were annihilated for the very act of child sacrifice! Jesus warns us about hurting the little child. This is a message that is prevalent in all of the world's major religions!
It is our conviction that the body temple of the soul belongs to God, as does the soul, and that the body temple is a priceless gift. The soul of the child is the custodian of the developing physical body. To kill it is to cause great pain to the body. An even greater pain is brought to the mind and soul of the one unborn who dwells in higher planes while, at the same time, is integrating with the developing physical form.
Science backs the fact that there is severe pain inflicted on the fetus undergoing an abortion, as the neural pathways for pain are present quite early and the nervous system is responsive. Furthermore, there is an abundance of anecdotal evidence, which cannot be ignored, showing that an unborn child has incomparable awareness, even awareness on a cosmic or extracensory scale.
We believe it is God-ordained that every child conceived should come into embodiment except those few recalled from the womb by God Himself. Embodiment is the soul’s opportunity to evolve, to fulfill its mission in life, to put on the garment of holiness and return to God in the ritual of the ascension, as was demonstrated by Jesus Christ .
Untold millions of abortions have taken place, one heaped upon another. These are souls whose mission in and for life has been aborted individuals who are not going to contribute their genius or their worth in solving the vast problems that have come upon human kind. Who is to say that among those aborted there was not an Einstein, a Beethoven, a Gandhi, a George Washington, a Florence Nightingale, a Pasteur, a Madam Curie, a Maria Montessori, a Mother Teresaor even a Mohamed, a Confucius, a Buddha or a Christ? It seems very likely that there was!
And what is to be said for the value of seemingly lesser souls? Are we not all equally important in the eyes of Godso wonderfully wrought and made in His Image, in all of our God-given potentialso evidenced in the life and genius potential of the newborn?
To be pro 'choice’ in the matter of abortion is to be pro death in actuality. By accepting the philosophy that allows for abortion, It follows that God is not the creator of life, or the supreme authority, and that life does not issue forth or return to him at his command. Given this humanist philosophy, life is not sacred and every form of death soon follows. Every form of death can be seen in the world, today, and death in every area of life is clamoring for acceptanceeuthanasia, suicide, etc. With all due respect for free will, the choice is one’s own.
