Your privacy is important to the International Parenting Association, Inc. (I.P.A.). Because we request certain types of information from visitors to the I. P.A. site, we want you to fully understand our online information gathering procedures.

We Do Not Share Information

We do not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others.

Use of Personal Information

The International Parenting Association will only use your personal information for site improvement, to register your contact and respond to information requests.

Site Visitor Information

Personal Information: Information you enter on the I.P.A. web site is received and stored securely. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to contact us, receive the newsletter or use the bulletin board. The information you provide is used to help I.P.A. respond to information requests, improve the information offering, and send the electronic newsletter.

Automatic Information: No cookies are used if you are just browsing the site from your web browser. Like many web sites, I.P.A. uses "cookies," and obtains certain types of information when you contact or interact with I.P.A.

Cookies

A cookie is a small data file that web sites are able to send to your browser, which are then stored on your hard drive, usually in the C://Documents and Settings/Your computer name/COOKIES folder. You can set your browser to accept (usually the default setup) or block cookies or to notify you when you receive a cookie, so you can accept or reject it. You do not need to have the cookie function turned on to visit the International Parenting Association site. A cookie provides tailored information to a web site, such as your user ID needed for the forums, or how you browse the I.P.A. site and which pages are more popular. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you provide to the web site. A cookie can’t read information off your hard disk or from other files such as cookies from other web sites.

E-mail Communications: When you contact the International Parenting Association and/or subscribe to the bulletin board or newsletter, you will receive eNews in the form of a monthly newsletter. The newsletter informs you about developments on the website and other announcements. If you want to be removed from the e-mail list, please notify I.P.A. by clicking here or by unsubscribing to the newsletter from the eNews Subscriptions page.

The I.P.A. website is provided as an informational service by the International Parenting Association.
